Configure Jumper Settings and Packet Size...
(1) Configure Jumpers Settings:
Select the available options that match the Network card's jumper settings.
If an option is used by another LAN driver, an asterix '*' will appear next to that option. It is still the users responsibility to insure that the selected options do not conflict with something else in the system.
(2) Configure Packet Size:
This option will configure the LAN drivers maximum packet size and hence, the buffer size.
Smaller sizes in the server driver will free up more service processes, and smaller sizes in the workstation will free up more memory for
applications. (This option appear only if the driver allows it.)
List of Selectable Driver Options.
If an option is already used by another LAN
driver (eg. OS drivers), an asterix '*' will appear next to that option.
Enter the file name to modify...
If you are modifying the server's packet sizes the file name is most likely "NET$OS.EX1".
If you are modifying the workstations packet size, the file name is most likely "IPX.COM".
List of Driver Board Options.
Some drivers may support similar boards in which some of the hardware options vary.
This list of hardware types is used to configure the driver for these different boards.
